Transitioning with Ease
I met Willis on Wed. Nov. 12, 2008. When I walked into his dark room, I saw a man on the verge of life, clinging to what this earth had given him. We opened the curtains to allow the sunlight to shine on his face. I wanted to see this man in his natural state. Who was Willis? I had “Met” him through my interactions with Marsha over the past few years. I had a sense of who and how he was through her eyes. What did I see with my own eyes? How could Willis tell me more about who he was and what he needed without speaking? I sat with him for a few moments and followed his breath. I watched how his body responded to the warmth of the sun on his face. I watched how each breath went in and out of his body. What was the quality of his in breath? He seemed to be working hard to stay present and in this world. I wanted to know more. I got up from the chair and went to introduce myself to his spirit and his 12 **Officials to learn more about what was needed in this moment to help ease his struggle. No one was present at the radial site on either wrist, except for his Heart Protector. I felt a very slight pulsation from this Official. He was worn out, yet pushing onward. I moved to the carotid pulses and checked in with each Official here. They were all throbbing yet empty. I got the sense that they were all running on empty, but being very hard and stubborn and were going to get through this no matter what. They were beyond exhaustion, giving it their last and final push. His Officials told me exactly what he needed in this moment in time and space.
I sat for a few more minutes to plan a treatment that would allow his spirit to be free to go when it was ready. I first needled Spirit Burial Ground. This point would help his spirit become present, less fragmented and whole again. The next point would be Spirit Seal. This point would help Willis find his truth and give him inner confirmation of the work he has done while here on this earth. This point sealed his identity as a father, a husband, and all that he was in life. Knowing that he did the best he could with what he had during this lifetime. Allowing him to honor and accept who and what he was while here on earth. The next two points were Dark Gate and Through the Valley. I told Willis that it was OK for him to enter the darkness, for there would soon be light as he entered the Valley. As he passed through the dark gate, he could release any negativity, regrets, or “should haves”. His spirit would than soon be guided into the Valley-his way would be illuminated and his spirit would be surrounded by warmth and love as he entered into the Valley. The Valley would be a peaceful and soft place for his spirit to rest-he would be protected and feel a sense of safety here. As he rested and felt a sense of peace, security and happiness in the Valley, his ancestors and greatest guides would be convening for a summit meeting. They would relieve the chaos and bring an even greater sense of calm. Giving him wisdom to know how and when it was time for him to proceed. I wanted to give Willis’s spirit, his ancestors and spirit guides ample time to process all that he has been and encountered while here on earth. Therefore, I left the needles in for about 20 minutes in the following points: Posterior Summit and One Hundred Meetings. This also allowed for Willis to access and establish his connection to the Heavenly Father, as these two points are the highest and closest acupuncture points to Heaven.
As I was treating Willis, his body became more and more relaxed. His breathing was no longer labored. As he connected to the Heavenly Father, his Officials began to retire…his pulses became more and more faint. A softness came over his entire body-there was now a sense of ease about him. He seemed to be getting what he needed in order to lessen his struggle. Perhaps the “fight” was no longer needed and it was now OK for him to bring his work here on earth to a close. I moved to his wrist and needled Great Mound to give his spirit a perspective of security and stability. This point helps to nurture and calm the spirit. Standing on this Great Mound helped Willis to connect to the source of his forebearers and to see more clearly. His breaths became less and less. I went to needle the last point, Spirit Gate, when his body shifted into total relaxation. Spirit Gate allowed Willis’ spirit to move freely and re-established a sense of control over his other Officials-reassuring them that all would be OK. Giving them the love and nourishment they needed in order to take the next step. This point connected him to his original and Earthly Qi, bringing stability and security to his spirit. I needled this point on the left and moved to the right. Before I could get to the right side, he took a big breath in and sighed. Was this his last breath? No. I knew it was close. His spirit was about to move through this Gate one last time, this time moving thru the gate to a realm that is not familiar to us. Marsha came back into the room. I asked her to do Reiki with me as Willis took his last remaining breaths. His spirit released and sailed into Heaven with ease and grace. The room was filled with peace. I felt a strong sense of inner calm, peace, and reassurance.
I continue to be amazed at the power of this sacred medicine.
